![]() ![]() Not only would people see me as ugly but i would see myself too. I understand that if everyone was being turned into “pretty” I would want to fit in, because if everyone is becoming this ideal vision of what pretty is, then I would be the definition of ugly. I always focus on what’s good and not what is bad, or what needs work. Another thing is people having a problem with my appearance, but that doesn’t bother me at all, instead many of my friends can tell you that I might be one of the most confident people with my own self. So I personally wouldn’t change the way I look, mainly because I don’t have any real problem with my look in general. I am insecure about some things in my body, but its not to an absolute extreme level. But at the same time part of me wants to change certain things, like my hair or my cheek bones, thighs, stomach and so on. This question took me a while to process, its hard to really be truthful, because even though I don’t think I have the ideal body, I don’t want to be changed, because I’m not effected by my looks dramatically. But I a very pretty woman was selling me a cupcake and un ugly woman was too, I wouldn’t mind which one, because its about a cupcake.ģ.If you had the chance to be made pretty, would you take it? What if everyone was being turned pretty-would you still want (or not want) to be made pretty? But instances like these for me are different because I’m buying the product to look like the prettier person, not the wrinkled one, and the person who is selling you cosmetics really influences our thoughts on the product. But I have to say that in some cases like for example buying facial crèmes, I would probably buy a cream that is supposed to make your look less wrinkly from a 30 year old woman with clear and bright skin than from another 30 year old woman with a wrinkled face. By the inside I mean, like their character, their manners, if they are fun and interesting or boring and blank. I think that looks are only what’s on the outside, what people should actually focus on is the inside of a person. This has certainly never happened to me, I believe and stand for everyone being treated equally no matter the race, ethnicity, beliefs, culture and so on. I think that if someone is very insecure in the way they look, and are desperate to change something physically, because of causes like bullying or just not fitting anywhere close to your vision of what’s beautiful, then I believe its right to do such a change like plastic surgery.Ģ.Have you ever found yourself trusting someone more or paying more attention to what they said not because they deserved it, but just because of their looks? In the other hand at the same time I feel like without a doubt choosing to change or remodel your original body state is perfectly fine, unless… its because you really want it and not because others are making you feel like you need it. She has brought her idea, which is a curvy and thick woman to the public, without worrying about what people say, judge or feel about her opinion. She has proven to the world that being skinny and on the edge of anorexic isn’t what should only be accepted in modern day society. An example would be Kim Kardashian, she has everything in the world, and yet she chooses her perspective of what is pretty, which in this case is curvy. Pretty is an idea of what one individual or a community believe is the ideal beauty, but for other individuals, pretty can be something else, beauty is seen in other ways. I am proud to say I personally don’t believe in either of the questions, i feel like in no way should everyone become pretty, because pretty is an opinion, not a real vision. ![]() Society oppresses people to look and assimilate to what they think is the ideal look or beauty, and people change to conform to the standards. But I don’t believe that body modification is bad, I believe if anyone is insecure about something, they should change it if they feel like its bothering them a lot, but I just think its correct if you are the one who feels like you need to change, not anyone else. I feel like any type of body remodeling can affect your identity, because you are changing your original form. If there isn’t any ugly, then there isn’t any pretty, because pretty would be ordinary. This statement is confusing, but is very true and really holds the right answer in my perspective. I believe if everyone were pretty, there would be no one pretty. 1.Do you think the world would be better if everyone were pretty? Or do you think that this sort of surgery is dangerous to identity? Did you ever agree with both ideas? Or neither? ![]()
